Hello! I am Crystal. I’m a wife, dog mama, chicken raiser, wannabe backyard homesteader, cooking enthusiast, baker… oh, and I own a Christian counseling practice (my real day job). 

For over 4 years, I’ve been raising chickens in our backyard. It isn’t a hobby I ever saw coming—it was originally my former 4H kid husband’s idea (he raised pigs!). But I quickly became obsessed. I’ve fallen in love with these silly birds.

Unfortunately, more often than not we have more eggs than we know what to do with (particularly in the summer) and never want them going to waste—especially with today’s shortages and price increases.

So welcome to my Best Day Egg Stand—established in 2024—a neighborhood egg stand in Tonganoxie, KS offering fresh yard eggs, baked goods, and produce (and soon… honey).
